CPHFW AW20 ': Presents its Sustainable Action plan 20'/ 22 '
Thanks to @ceciliethorsmark and his team, the Nordic fashion industry plans to become the first “Zero Waste” sustainable fashion week in 2022.
At the beginning of the press, conference @cphfw launched the sustainable action plan that leaves the rest of the fashion weeks in check, intending to immediately alarm and raise awareness about the irreparable consequences of the Industry. The plan is divided into two parts:
The first focus is on the event:
- Reducing carbon emissions by 20% in the next 3 years in operations required for the development of activities.
-Measuring the emissions of each show, and establishing a code of conduct for suppliers, sponsors, and partners regarding the carbon footprint. -Prioritizing locations compatible with green energy.
-Selecting sustainable catering services in their entirety.
-Developing a support guide for the execution and elimination of plastic, among others.
The second part of the plan involves the industry:
- We are all responsible and necessary actors so that social and cultural change accelerates and the transition from a sustainable plan to a practical business is kind and with criteria.
